Home broadband and mobile broadband compete

The competition between mobile broadband and home broadband companies seems to have taken a turn in favor of the home broadband providers. Planned installation of fibre optic cable in what is known as FTTC (fibre to the cabinet) has placed many United Kingdom home broadband providers in a situation where they will soon be offering their customers from 40 to 100 MB download speed.

In comparison, current 3G mobile broadband coverage throughout the UK offers on average just 3MB of speed. Plans for faster wireless internet connections by means of systems such as WiMax seem to have stalled. We have always been proponents of fully Wireless Technology but it seems as if over the air mobile broadband will be slower than expected in making the leap to its fourth generation or 4G speed. Other factors leaning in favor of home broadband over the mobile are the reluctance of United Kingdom mobile broadband companies to lower prices for unlimited mobile broadband usage. Instead these companies seem to prefer collecting by the pound for each gigabyte of download through pay as you go mobile broadband offers.

Now for all of our discussion of home broadband vs. mobile broadband, the true comedy is that all of the providers offering the services are one and the same. Almost every major United Kingdom home broadband provider is also a major seller of mobile broadband.

Ericsson Demonstrate LTE Data Transfer up to 1 Gbps

lteIn the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Ericsson broke the world record by displaying data through a technology transfer long term evolution (LTE) or 4G speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second for the downlink.

Demonstration for the first time in the world using the latest technology and multicarrier multiple-input-multiple-output, MIMO, and runs on a commercial LTE from Ericsson. By combining these technologies, the speed up to 1 gigabit per second can be achieved. The demonstration uses four wide-band network with 20 MHz each for a total bandwidth 80 MHz and used 4 x 4 MIMO, the data sent through the interface over the air on four independent bit-stream.

LTE, the future mobile communication technology, allowing large data transfer with efficient and cost effective through the optimization of the frequency spectrum. With increasing speed and latency cutting, consumers can enjoy a variety of applications, such as realtime web access, online game, social media collaboration and video conferencing more easily whenever and wherever they may be. LTE will meet the needs of Internet applications move to new and more sophisticated in the future.

“Our mission is to connect 50 billion devices in 2020. The whole device and any favorable circumstances should be connected as one. Canon PowerShot S90, Pocket Camera that supports RAW

powershot-S90Confused! That was the comment of a friend when trying slim Canon camera which ring lens can be swivel. But this is the uniqueness of Canon PowerShot S90.

The resolution is only 10 megapixels, but the wide angle lens with fast f2. Focal length (optical zoom) can be arranged from the focus ring, with a choice of 28, 35, 50, 85, and 105 mm. Special, functions in this ring can be set again, for example, to set exposure compensation, set the ISO, white balance, shutter speed, focus, aperture, or zoom. This is outside the existing arrangements in the wheels behind the camera control.

Honestly, the PowerShot S90′s has style of IXUS series. This makes us have to get used to it. There is a lot of new things. Exposure can be arranged. RAW format is rare in compact cameras have brought. The position of the shutter button was no longer just on the edge of the right, but rather entered. Flash can not be removed manually, but directly out on the left side when the camera detects low-light conditions.

However, once we have used, we will quite enjoying S90. Quick response. Aim sharp results. In low-light conditions, you just select low light in the dial mode in without the hassle to set everything. In low light mode, ISO will automatically set to 12,800. Beside that, option of ISO 80-3200 also available.

If you do not want to bother just use auto mode that can detect scene, movement, and face. There are also 8 other modes, complete with a summary of each function present a second mode in the LCD. So, do not have to bother opening the manual!

Rather unfortunate, NB-6L battery with 1000mAh capacity could only survive for 150-192 shots. Fortunately, these batteries can be recharged in the charger are available. Time was not long, about 2 hours.

Conclusion
If you want a full-featured camera, but lightweight portable, the Canon PowerShot S90 is a good choice. Good shot quality. However, if you got no problem with the price and dimensions, you may choose his brother, G11, which almost $ 100 more expensive.

Google Preparing Future Quantum Computers

chimeraRight now the Google search engine is the best in the world. However, actually the server computers that used is the same as other companies. I wonder what if Google uses the computer’s future far more powerful than the current computer technology?

As written in the blog, head of Google’s image recognition team, Harmut Neven, revealing quantum computer technology is being developed by Google. Silently Google has done in the last three years with D-Wave, a Canadian company that has developed a quantum chip called Chimera.

One of these technological applications is the ability to detect objects from images and videos in the database. In a conference Neural Information Processing System, the development team success both companies reported making algorithm to detect cars in the picture for the chip.

The algorithm is “trained” to recognize the form of a car with facing it to 20,000 photos on the streets, each drawing half the existing car and the other half did not. The result, created algorithm  can accurately distinguish the existing image that have cars within one second.

“He selects the images that have cars with greater speed than conventional computers, much faster than any computer that is in Google’s data centers,” said Neven.

Someday when the computer is used, the speed of Google search services will be far more powerful and faster than the existing services right now. When did it happen?.

Track Your Fleet by Using GPS Tracking System

As the technology in navigation is getting more sophisticated, now we can drive our car to the place that we even don’t know before without any fear of being lost. The technology is called by GPS or Global Positioning System. This device is working with the help of the satellite to tell us our exact location. In more modern GPS, we are not just ready the coordinate of the location but also completed with map.

Nowadays, since the technology is changing we can also track something using device called by GPS tracking devices, which one of them is provided by Rocky Mountain Tracking. This device has the same basic idea of common GPS we have in our car but the main purpose is to track the location of something like our fleet or our car. of course this device has many purposes, for example if we have fleet of vehicles like trucks, we can monitor not just the current location of it but also the route they make, how long they make a stop and also the date they do all the activities. Besides that, you can put this device in your car so that you can know where the location of your car is in case your car is stolen.

To be able to work properly, you will need to put the GPS tracking Key inside the vehicle that you want to track. Because the dimension is so small, so you can hide it anywhere you like as long as the driver does not know about this. The GPS tracking key is a battery powered which the battery can last up to 3 weeks at most. You can later store the data gathered by this GPS tracking key by using your computer with USB connection.

Innovative VoIP Technology and it is Countless Advantages

“I’m using VoIP phone service and nothing is better than VoIP for me” or “Last time I chatted with my Aunty Margaret in Boston for over an hour and the call cost was surprisingly low” or perhaps “Last night I had a video chat with my wife who was holding the most beautiful thing in the world – my one day old baby! Thanks to Voip Phone system!”…To me it isn’t a surprise, many of my friends use VoIP and I often get to hear such gratifying comments from them.

Voice Over Internet Protocol Phone service or VOIP phone service is a digital broadband phone which converts analogue signals into digital signals over high speed internet, without compromising on voice quality and data. This avant-garde technology has given us convenience in communicating with friends and families and provided the ease to carry your VoIP phone with you anywhere you go.

In its simplest form, VOIP uses internet technology – a low costing service – to transmit data therefore, the fees to make long distance and international calls doesn’t cost much, compared to traditional phone services.

Today, VoIP has improved further and now offers added advantages and bonus features, which are not only helpful in making calls, but also help in carrying out other tasks. With your VoIP service, you can make either PC-to-PC calls or PC to Phone calls. You can make calls to China, Japan, Switzerland and other countries at a cost as low as 1.5c. A high-speed broadband internet connection, an ATA adapter, router and phone set is all you need to start making calls.

The market is filled with many VoIP Service Providers, offering amazing VoIP services and features and excellent calling plans. The best thing about VoIP is that you are not charged for extra features such as call waiting, caller ID, call blocking voicemail, etc compared to your traditional phone service, who charged an extra $10-$20 for each feature you activate. See the difference – both offer outstanding quality of service but only VoIP is sincere to you and your budget.

You can sign with a VoIP phone provider and easily access/ control your VoIP service from service’s website. You can easily save your voicemails on your computer desktop, block unwanted calls from sales people and telemarketers, deny access to your caller ID information to everyone, block anonymous calls, and much more.

Did you know that you are provided with the facility to add extra lines to your available VoIP account? Yes, you can with much ease. This feature can facilitate you best for your business communication. You can assign a different ring tone to each line for easy identification. Also, you can use virtual number facility and take number belonging to some other area code, other than the city you are dwelling in. this way, family, friends or business clients living in that very city can easily make calls to you at the rate of a local call charges and so can you. This means no long distance call charges to pay for and this all is offered at an absolutely low cost.

For your business VoIP, you can ask your VoIP service provider to let you use fax over VoIP facility, send and receive faxes over your VoIP number – an affordable service.

If you ask me, VoIP service providers are doing magic with their excellent services. It’s like VoIP service providers are pied pipers replacing traditional phone services and making people crowd in under the VoIP shelter.

These are my thoughts, what are yours?
