Flash 10.1 beta 3, Supports 1080p on Netbook

flash10Good News for netbook owners with Intel GMA 500 graphics, and Atom processor Z series. Flash Player 10.1 Beta 3 already present, completed with hardware video acceleration for your machine. This means Hulu and YouTube HD can be run on machines such as the Sony VAIO C and VAIO X, Siemens Booklet 3G, also Dell Mini 10 new generations.

The new build also provides support for various HD Crystal Broadcom accelerator in the machines new Atom Pine Trail, such as the Dell Mini and the 10 new 210 HP Mini. From the latest Dell Mini 10, 1080p YouTube reportedly can run smoothly. While in HP Mini 210, only 720p that can be run (still waiting for the latest Broadcomm drivers).

Unfortunately this update does not apply to most netbooks, released between 2008 and 2009, which has the Atom processor N270 or N280 and GMA 950 graphics. This is because, the GMA 500 graphics include H.264hardware acceleration, while the GMA 950 graphics chip does not.

RIM Will Integrate Adobe Flash To The BlackBerry Platform
