Were you aware that Pixar, the animation studio has made just 10 feature films in its history but every single one has been a critical and commercial success. The studio has earned a record 22 Academy Awards, four Golden Globes and three Grammy awards.

Pixars’s success began back in 1995 with “Toy Story”. This favorite movie featuring Woody and Buzz Lightyear has been followed up by two sequels “Toy Story 2? and “Toy Story 3? and all have been significant at the box office.

You cannot forget “A Bug’s Life”. It was released in 1998. This motion picture is about several hardworking ants who stockpile food for the winter only to have several greedy grasshoppers come in and steal it all. The hero of the movie, Flik the ant is determined to stop the wicked grasshoppers.

All those monsters that are hiding under our kid’s beds and in their closets were featured in “Monsters, Inc.” that was released in 2001. This motion picture is really a true classic.

In 2003, the world fell deeply in love with a little clownfish in “Finding Nemo”. Nemo gets separated from his father and he is taken away to reside an aquarium at a dentist’s office. The movie follows the adventure of Nemo’s dad as he travels the sea to look for his son.

The best of the Superhero’s were featured in “The Incredibles” from 2004. The former Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl gave up their life of preventing crime to become regular people and raise a family under the federal government protection program. But things change when the lure of the superhero lifestyle overcome Mr. Incredible.

“Cars” is a fun movie about a hot red car named Lightning McQueen and the lessons he learns about what must be done to possess a happy and productive life when he visits the town of Radiator Springs. “Cars” is from 2006.

And then needless to say “Ratatouille” from 2007 is about Remy the rat and the dream he has of being a great chef in a French restaurant. And “Wall-E”, about the last robot left on earth came out in 2008.

Last year brought us the movie “Up”, about an older man who attempts to make his life time dream become a reality. And in 2010, the third and likely the last sequel of the “Toy Story” franchise was released.

I love to read. I read anything I can find, from Science Fiction novels, to Agatha Christie mysteries. Due to this, the library was a place I’d visit often. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere and I could find pretty much any book i wanted. However, due to poor management, the library was closed, and I’ve not heard of plans to open another one.

There was nothing I could do to stop this, and I was left with finding a new peaceful place in which to do my reading. The local park seemed appropriate, and I found a nice little place away from the regular paths, and no people seem to come by here. I was very happy with my find, and decided to come back the next day, with a good book, to see how it works out.

Unfortunately, when I returned, the place was filled with kids running around and playing. There was no way I could read in these conditions. But I also didn’t want to start looking for another spot, because I liked this one a lot. So I started looking for something to help reduce the background noise to a minimum.

Because I am an avid music listener as well, I decided the best option would be the purchase of an mp3 player, to listen to some classical music while I’m reading.
